Best Pet Insurance Affiliate Programs Today

If you’re in the pet niche, you’re probably sick and tired of recommending physical products to your audience. And since Amazon Associates has slashed its commissions, monetizing your site through this program can be frustrating and counterproductive.

In today’s article, we’re looking at the top pet insurance affiliate programs. If your blog also deals with the health conditions of animals and you want to make sure you advise your readership to get insurance, be sure to check out the following suggestions!

Best Pet Insurance Affiliate Programs

Petplan affiliate program

As you might know by now if you are a pet owner yourself, emergency vet bills in the United States and other countries can be extremely expensive, and can sometimes even make you go into debt.

Well, the Petplan insurance program covers up to 90% of all medical expenses in case of an emergency and all that for just one monthly payment. They even have plans for dental insurance, and some policies cost just $1 per day.

As for the program itself, from what we have gathered, the Petplan pet insurance affiliate commission is a flat $25 per sale. The cookie lasts for 30 days, which we’d say is pretty decent considering that the cookie duration of other programs listed in this article is just one week.

Embrace Pet

Like Petplan, Embrace Pet Insurance can cover up to 90% of vet expenses. If you’d also recommend to your audience pet insurance that’s ethical, than this one might be your best bet since $2 of all payments that this company gets every month go to a pet charity.

The affiliate program can get you a flat commission of $36 per each lead. The cookie lasts for two whole months, which yet again, is another detail that makes the difference between Embrace and some of its competitors showcased in this article.

Knose affiliate program

If you write for the Australian audience, then this program should be right up your alley. It’s aimed at offering affordable and convenient pet insurance for Australians, and that’s because over 90% of pets in this country aren’t covered by any insurance plan.

There are pros and cons when it comes to joining the Knose affiliate program in the sense that the commissions aren’t really something worth writing home about. You get 10% of every generated sale, but that comes down to just about $4 per lead.

The cookie does last for 45 days, though, so at least there’s that. Based on the information that we collected about Knose, the conversion rate is around 13%, which is actually better than most of its competitors.

Like Knose, you aren’t going to make a fortune if you decide to recommend PetFirst services, but at least you’ll know for sure that your audience is going to thank you in the future. The insurance company has plans for every budget, with the minimum plans for dogs costing just $15 per month and those for cats being priced at just $9/month.

Every sale gets you 8% in commissions but that only comes down to about $2 for the minimum coverage plans. The cookie does last for a whole month, though, so at least there’s that.

This is a pretty ethical and responsible company that also pays faster compared to other insurance firms on our list — so if you’d like to recommend good services even though they might not generate a lot of money in commissions for you, we’d say that PetFirst is at least worth looking into.

This one is strictly available in the United Kingdom, so you can recommend it to your British audience. The average cost of a monthly plan for pets is about $18 (15 pounds) per month, so it’s a little more expensive compared to other options showcased in this post.

The good thing about it is that the commissions for affiliates are actually decent, since you can earn 15 pounds for each generated sale. Furthermore, the cookie lasts for 30 days.

Another aspect that we’d like to mention about the PDSA affiliate program is that you can join it through the AWIN network, where you’ll be able to look at all of your useful stats, from conversion rates to clicks and generated leads.

Trupanion pet insurance has become quite popular in the past several years as their plans provide coverage for up to 90% of all vet bills. They can also pay the vet bill directly so that the pet owner does not have to deal with any hassle whatsoever.

What we like about their insurance plans is that they also include options for dogs who have a higher risk of developing hereditary health conditions — we couldn’t find this in any of the other insurance plans we went through.

As for the value of the commissions you can get per lead, apparently you can get paid $25 for each sale, which isn’t bad considering the rates of other programs. The cookie lasts for 30 days.

You can become a Trupanion affiliate through their own program, though, so you are not going to be able to benefit from easy management through an affiliate network.

The Eusoh program should be right up your alley if you do not like the hassle of separately joining several different affiliate programs through different websites. You can become a Eusoh pet insurance affiliate through CJ (formerly known as Commission Junction).

When it comes to the commissions, we’d argue that they are pretty decent since you can earn up to $80 per every sale. The cookie lasts for 60 days, which yet again, is another factor that should convince you to give it a try.

What we’d also like to note about Eusoh is that it doesn’t work like any other pet insurance company — it’s community based and it reimburses pet parents for anything from illnesses and medical bills to routine expenses such as vaccinations.

Pet Insurer

This is a pet insurance affiliate program that’s definitely worth looking into since the commissions are more than generous and the cookie lasts for a decent amount of time, too. For every sale, you can earn up to $100 and the cookie duration is a whopping 90 days.

The program does have to be joined on the PetInsurer individual website, through, so you are not going to be able to manage your clicks, conversions, and earnings through an affiliate network.

Another reason to take this option into account would be that they partner with carriers ranging from Petplan and Trupanion to Nationwide, PetBest, or Embrace.

PetAssure is one of those pet premium insurance affiliate programs that pays differently depending on the services that your audience eventually gets. For example, the maximum commission that you can earn per every lead can go up to $24, but this is only for unlimited plans.

If someone who reads your blog has just one cat and they get a monthly insurance plan for their feline friend, you’re going to earn just $8. The same goes for single dog plans, which will generate you a commission of $12 each. For people who have several pets and who opt for the Family plan, you’ll earn $16 per lead.

The cookie lasts for 45 days, which means that your blog or site readers have some time at their disposal to make up their mind about whether they want to get pet insurance with this company or not.

You can join this affiliate program through

First off, HealthyPaws is one of those affiliate programs for pet insurance that only accept affiliates from the United States, which can be limiting if you are based in another country. You will have to join with your American address, so if you do not live in the US, this might not be the right option for you.

In terms of whether or not the HealthyPaws pet insurance program is worth considering, we’d say that it is, since the commission is a flat $35 on each lead and the cookie duration is pretty good, too — 60 days.

Pets Best

Pets Best insurance is managed by a veterinarian, so you can rest assured that you’ll be recommending good services to your readership. There are a lot of things included with every plan, such as routine care or a 24/7 helpline.

The commissions aren’t really worth writing home about since you will effectively generate just $2.40 per sale. However, the cookie does last for 90 days, which should give pet owners enough time to make up their mind about whether they want to opt for this type of insurance or something different.

Agria Pet Insurance

We decided to include this affiliate program in our selection even though it is quite frustrating that they aren’t clear about the commission rates that they offer to their affiliates. The only information that we were able to come across is that the cookie lasts for thirty days.

Other than that, you’ll have to first complete an application and wait for a representative to get in touch and let you know what commissions they have.

On the other hand, the pet insurance plans are quite generous and there’s a vast community of pet owners on the platform. They offer plans for a variety of pets, from rabbits to dogs and cats — but the plans are strictly available in the United Kingdom. The plans are fully customizable, too.

This one runs through Impact Radius. The commissions are a flat 2% on each sale, but the most significant reason for recommending Petco to your audience would have to be that they also sell a lot of other products, not just pet insurance.

In fact, the company operates over one thousand stores in the United States, Puerto Rico, as well as Mexico. The cookie does last for just seven days, though, which might be a con for some affiliates.

ShareASale pet insurance affiliate programs

If you already are a ShareASale affiliate, then you might want to consider some of the programs listed below just out of pure convenience and ease of use.

  • The Dog Med Laser
  • Odie Pet Insurance
  • Fitbark
  • King Kanine

Promoting pet insurance

It goes without saying that if you have a pet-related blog or website or if you create products for or about animals, you are in the perfect niche for recommending pet insurance. However, there are several others that might work, too, such as personal finance or the money-saving niche.

If you use your creativity, you might even be able to monetize your travel or otherwise health-related blog using these pet insurance programs — provided that you do keyword research and competition analysis first, just to have a look at what other affiliates are doing.

Another piece of advice that we have for you is to read the fine print of every contract that you sign. Although it might sound completely natural to marketers to promote services through social media networks like Facebook, Pinterest, or YouTube, some affiliate programs might not allow it.

If you’re in a relatively broad pet niche, perhaps picking a program that sells plans for a variety of animal species might be the right way of going about things. On the other hand, if you are specifically in the cat or dog niche, you have to manually look for the insurance affiliate programs that offer the best commissions for this.

In the end, you also want to choose a program that offers the best to your audience. This means picking an ethical choice, one that ideally gives some of their profits to charities. Do consider that you should recommend pet insurance plans that can reimburse pet owners in as little time as possible or that can directly communicate with the veterinary hospitals themselves.
