Hostinger Affiliate Program Review
We are continuing our series about some of the top affiliate programs that marketers can join and use to monetize their websites. For today’s article, we have a detailed review of the Hostinger affiliate program.
Hostinger is a company that has been operating in the web hosting field for quite a while now and most of the services offered by the brand seem to be up to par. They also don’t cost a lot, so people aren’t wary in terms of trying them. Plus, there are lots of plans available.
Hostinger Affiliate Program Review
What is Hostinger?
Hostinger has been around ever since 2004 and during that time, the brand came up with a number of different products. Their services are now available in more than 170 countries and apparently, there are more than 20 million people using them.
Hostinger is based in several different locations across the globe, although the original company hails from Lithuania. Some of its offices now operate in The Netherlands, the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Brazil, and Indonesia.
What can you promote as an affiliate?
The first and most obvious answer to this question is that you can promote a variety of web hosting packages. The cheapest ones are priced at $2.99 per month (when there’s an offer going on) and this refers to premium shared hosting.
The single shared hosting package costs just $1.99 per month and offers people access to 30GB of SSD storage, up to 10,000 visits per month, one email account, and a free SSL certificate. This does not include the domain, however.
The $2.99 one that we mentioned (priced at $6.99 when renewing) grants people up to 100GB in storage, the ability to host and manage up to 100 different websites, and up to 25,000 visitors per month. All the other services are included, such as unlimited bandwidth, managed WordPress, the SSL certificate, and even the domain.
The largest package is priced at $4.99/month and renews at $8.99 per month and is the most generous one in terms of features of all.
Besides hosting, Hostinger makes it possible for people to use VPS, cPanel hosting, as well as cloud services, particularly for large products, and even more serious packages designed for agencies or huge businesses.
They also have domain transfer and domain checker services and they also sell domains themselves.
By the way, we looked at the prices and they are quite affordable since a .com domain costs just $9.99 a year (at the time we’re writing this) instead of the somewhat traditional $18 one that most other companies in the same field charge.
How difficult is the Hostinger affiliate program to join?
Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, we have to look at how you can become an affiliate and through what networks.
Fortunately, unlike other brands that are in the same industry but choose to manage their own affiliate program, Hostinger can be joined and managed through three different affiliate networks.
You can of course sign up and become an affiliate through the company’s own website, but you are also free to use Tune, Impact Radius, or CJ Affiliate — which can be a significant advantage for marketers who own several different websites and use various programs to monetize their sites.
Based on some of the information we came across, it seems that it only takes a few days for prospective affiliates to receive a reply from Hostinger and find out whether they are accepted into the program or not.
The acceptance rate is quite high and if you make sure to avoid going against any of the company’s policies and terms, you are not going to get booted out of the program anytime soon.
Hostinger affiliate commission
What are the Hostinger affiliate earnings you can expect? This is by far the most important question you have to ask yourself, so here’s what you should know.
As an affiliate, you can make up to 60% out of all of the qualifying orders that you refer to the brand’s website.
That might not seem like a lot when considering that some of the plans are priced at just $1.99, but we’d argue that it is quite decent when comparing it to some of the other programs we’ve reviewed in the past.
But more on that, in one of the sections below.
One other thing that we have to mention is that the commission system is a tiered one. You automatically make 60% out of the value of each order if you refer up to 15 people to Hostinger, but once you go beyond that threshold, your commission will be increased to 65%.
So, if you have a blog or website in the right niche and you’re recommending Hostinger products here and there, you might be able to make more than $1,000 per year with this affiliate program.
Despite the Hostinger affiliate commission rate, there’s quite a fair share of successful marketers that manage to make more than $5,000 per year. Consequently, while you are not going to be able to use this program to get rich, it will provide you with a pretty decent side (and hopefully passive) income every year.
Also, the tracking cookie lasts for 30 days, which is not good or bad, either. It’s just the industry standard at this point since most other programs have the same cookie length.
On the downside, the commissions are not recurring. So, even if someone renews their plan, you’re not going to get to see any cent of that.
Hostinger affiliate payout
This is one of the nicest things about this affiliate program and it’s that the Hostinger affiliate minimum payout,is just $50.
It might not seem that impressive, but the one of other programs in the same niche is $100, so if you don’t have a massive amount of traffic and generate a lot of commissions, you’re probably going to have to wait for a while before you can get your money.
On another note, you can be paid through direct deposit or PayPal. The PayPal option is definitely beneficial for people who are not located in the U.S. or the UK and might have trouble getting an account in these countries.
Then again, you can always rely on Payoneer for a virtual bank account for any of these currencies. Still, it’s important to note that Hostinger is one of the few programs in this niche and in general that can pay its affiliates through PayPal.
Pros and cons to being a Hostinger affiliate
Pros
When it comes to benefits that you can enjoy with this program, there is a fair share of them. For one, the 60% Hostinger affiliate program commission rate is more than decent, even if some of the hosting plans are more or less affordable.
The 30-day cookie is also pretty good, especially when comparing it to disastrous programs that offer you a 24-cookie.
The brand claims that the website gets at least 15,000 new signups on a daily basis, which means that it is among the most popular choices when it comes to web hosting right now.
The fact that you can manage everything through not one, not two, but three separate affiliate platforms can be considered another pro, especially for people who simply do not have the time to go onto every brand’s website to check their earnings once every other day or so.
If you aren’t using CJ Affiliate or any of the networks we have previously mentioned, you can rely on the website for a user-friendly interface that can show you just how much you are making and what plans people are opting for, thereby helping you optimize your performance.
Additionally, you can work with an affiliate manager in case you run into any problem, whether that be related to how you can get your Hostinger affiliate link or other marketing materials or a technical issue that prevents you from recommending the services to your audience.
As for the payout threshold, what we have to add here is that every network has different limits. For example, Tune has a minimum payout threshold of $100 whereas CJ Affiliate and Impact Radius have lower ones.
Try to do your research about which one’s the lowest and suits your needs — that is, if this is something that matters for you.
In the end, the fact that you will be promoting good-quality products and services is perhaps the most significant benefit since your audience is not going to be so reluctant when it comes to trying them — especially since they’re affordable, too.

Hostinger affiliate marketing cons
Perhaps the only con that we discovered is the fact that deep linking is not available at this time.
There’s also the fact that Tune has a limit as to how much you can earn in one go. Even if it’s almost impossible for you to generate a commission rate of $300, this limit does exist, which can make affiliate marketers feel a little wary about using this network.
Finally, there’s another drawback that we have to address and it is the fact that if you don’t get to make at least $75 in commission over a period of half a year, your earnings will basically be deleted instead of transferred to you via PayPal or your bank account.
And while with the other networks you can withdraw your money conveniently, if you decide to use the self-managed program through their website, you’ll actually have to send out an email to the company and ask for your money — and this is a significant con. No one likes asking for money when they are being owed any sum for legit commissions.

How does the Hostinger affiliate program compare to others?
Bluehost
This one is completely different by comparison as the Bluehost affiliate program offers its affiliates the opportunity to make anything between $65 and $120 per sale, so it’s quite a bit higher compared to what Hostinger has to offer.
The threshold that you need to reach is $100, though, so it is higher by comparison, but they can also pay their affiliates via PayPal for utmost convenience.
HostGator
As is the case with Bluehost, HostGator pays its affiliates a minimum commission of $65 per sale, but the brand uses a tiered system where very large affiliates can make significantly bigger rates, of up to $125/sale.
Hostinger can pay affiliates through a wide range of methods, whether that be ACH, direct deposit, or good old PayPal.

SiteGround
The rate you can expect if you recommend this web hosting service to your audience is slightly lower, at $50 per sale. Even so, it’s better than Hostinger’s 60% rate.
Another great thing about SiteGround is that it actually pays marketers on a weekly basis. So, if you need some quick cash, you can rely on this program for it. You do need to wait for 30 days before your commissions are checked and verified (in case any of your referrals have asked for a return and so on).
GoDaddy
This one is perhaps much worse when compared to the rest of the web hosting programs we’ve previously mentioned and the reason for that is the 15% commission. Unless you get people to purchase more expensive packages, there’s no way you can make decent money with it.
The cookie length is 45 days, so at least there’s that. But all in all, it just can’t compare to Hostinger, in any respect.

A2 Hosting
This one is definitely worth writing home about because even the lowest rates can make you more when compared to what other programs can offer. The commissions range from $85 to $140 per sale.
Best of all, the cookie length is three whole months, so one of the longest ones we have stumbled upon in this niche.
