From the info that we have gathered about it, it seems that there have been some controversies surrounding this affiliate program in the past. Some bloggers have complained about the company delaying the payments for no particular reason, but luckily, this issue doesn’t seem to exist nowadays.
The HostGator affiliate program is performance-based, meaning that you get better commissions the more referrals you make. We’ll delve more into the value of the HostGator affiliate earnings below.
The cookie lasts for 60 days, which is decent enough. Needless to say, if one of your referrals clicks someone else’s affiliate link and decides to buy a HostGator product during that time, you aren’t going to make any money. The same rule applies for instances where your referrals decide to clear their cookies.
Commissions
As previously mentioned, this affiliate program is performance-based. This means that if you refer anything between 1 and 5 people, every signup will bring you a commission of $65. If you refer between 6 and 10 people, you’ll get a $75 commission while referring between 11 and 20 people will earn you $100 per every signup.
The most valuable signup commission stands at more than 21 referrals per month. On the one hand, that means that you should have an impressive number of visitors per month and an excellent conversion rate so that you get more than 20 people to sign up to any of HostGator’s products.
We’d argue that you can make a decent income if you can convince people to sign up. Referring just 11 people will make you more than $1,000, for example.
Payments
To join the program and get paid, you need to do it through Impact Radius, and the way the platform handles the HostGator affiliate payout is that you get paid on the 11th of every month.
You can get paid by cheque, Paypal, or ACH. It seems to work with Payoneer, too, but you do have to use the bank account number and swift code provided by the platform. Luckily enough, you can be paid anywhere in the world, so even if you’re not in the United States or the United Kingdom, you can still get the money.

There are a variety of banners and other marketing materials available, and you can use them all to do your best at convincing your site visitors to give HostGator services a try.
The affiliate support system seems to be pretty decent, too, although there have been reports from bloggers in the past who haven’t gotten any replies. Yet again, this seems to be a problem of the past.
