Domain research is a really important job for SEO‘s. Domain names have a number of metrics all of which contribute as to how valuable they are. Having lots of powerful domain names in your possession is what helps make you a valuable SEO so its something you should start building on as soon as possible.
Now the problem with this is Google doesn’t like to see someone holding loads of domains. There are ways around this although this can be very time consuming if you don’t use tools like FlameDomain.
With this tool, you can search for and register domains using different hosting accounts. If you’re not aware, google can see just like us, who owns a domain and what server it’s hosted on.
If you own lots of domain names and buy them all under the same registrar, Google will be aware of this and could penalise you if they find any private blog networks amongst these likewise, if you host all of these domains under the same IP address. You have to keep all of these separate if you plan on starting a PBN and FlameDomain makes that management a whole lot easier. Let’s take a look at the prices first.
This tools pricing is based on both Indian rupees and US dollars. Before you decide to pay for the tool or not there is a free version available that lets you add 3 domains per day. After this, there is a pro and a pro+ version you can pay for either monthly or annually. The differences between each package are the number of accounts that you can manage.
Once you’ve signed up you’ll be able to create a password to login to your account. The first thing you want to do is add your hosting account details.
At this time of writing, FlameDomain lets you add your registrar details for Godaddy and Namecheap. To do this, fill in the following details:
Name for Account – You can name the account whatever you want, this is just for your reference.
Select Registrar – This is where you select which company you are using.
Username – If it’s a Namecheap account, then you will have a username that you would put here, if you are using a Godaddy account then the username section will be replaced with an API key for you to put in.
API Key – The API key for Namecheap would be put here, again on Godaddy this would be replaced by a secret key.
To add a domain click on the “Add Domains” button at the top of the page, then enter your domain name. Once it’s in the account you will be able to see it listed there where you can view it’s whois data and registrar. The amount of domains that you can hold and register in here all depends on what package you chose to go for.
The expired domains section is where you can see all of the domain names available to purchase. The domain is listed here along with the price and all of the metrics you need to figure out if the domain is worth buying. Now as I’ve said in the past, I would always recommend checking out the Wayback machine no matter how good the domain metrics may seem. It’s very important that there were no periods in this domains lifespan in which it was used for spamming of any kind.
You can also generate a list of domains if you need an idea for a business. For example, if you were looking for domains based on building companies. You could select a niche, random or input. In my example, I have selected “Design” as my niche type, This will then bring up a list of domains available that suit the particular niche you have chosen.
All of these domains in someway could definitely be names for all types of design companies. If you want more domains all you need to do is click on the “Generate Domains” button again and you’ll be given a new list. Every domain here that FlameDomain generates is available for you to buy at cost price straight and will take you through to Godaddy.
If you choose the Random option, you also have the ability to generate domains based on the number of characters it has. For example, if you are using the tools in a number of ways that can’t be used in a number of scenarios. This is a good way to find those smaller 5 letter .com domain names. These domains will be completely random so you will have to generate domains a few times to get yourself a good one.
Lastly, you can generate them by keywords. Choosing the “Input” option will bring up the option to enter a secondary keyword. Then there is what you can see is called “Input Placement”. You can choose to have the keyword appear at the start, the end or somewhere random on the domain name.
For example, if I put the word “Builder” in as a keyword and then the random input option. You will see a list like the one below.
This is a big list of domains containing that keyword which again can be bought directly from a registrar of your choice.
Registering a domain using FlameDomain is a very easy process, it is very similar to registering a domain on any other domain registrar. All you need to do is search for the one you want and it will come up if the domain is available with a few different extensions.
If you decide to buy it, you can add it to your basket and make the payment for your domain.
FlameDomain will make the process of handling all of your domains a whole lot easier. Being able to handle all your domains in the one place but still having the advantage of multiple locations means you can quickly access all of your resources without the headache of looking for accounts and passwords to gain access to your domains.
Please note that FlameDomain is available up until the end of January for $69 dollars for a lifetime licence, then it will go onto a monthly recurring fee so grab your copy before the end of January.
