Best Survey Sites

There are hundreds, if not thousands of survey sites that pay by check or survey sites that pay through Paypal, and you can take advantage of them to make a bit of money on the side.

However, not all of them are the best survey sites. Since that is the topic of today’s article, let’s look at some of the top ones out there.

Before we begin, we’d like to note that the money you’ll make with these websites aren’t going to amount to a full-time income, but they might help you toward reaching your other goals, such as starting your small business, going on vacation, or buying some electrical appliances for your home.

Top online survey sites

  1. Branded Surveys (formerly MintVine)

It takes you about 10 to 20 minutes to complete a survey on this site and for each one you do, you can be paid anything between $.50 and $5. The interface is pretty easy to use, so it doesn’t raise any technical difficulties for users who might be less tech-savvy. Therefore, it can be used by seniors, for example, who have a bit of experience in working with computers, too.

Payments are made through Paypal, but you also have the option of getting gift cards. Based on the info that we found about it, MintVine is one of the best free survey sites, especially since it offers great customer service, and you can use your Facebook account to sign up. That can also be a drawback in terms of privacy, though.

  1. PrizeRebel

This site has been up and running for almost a decade, and during that time, the company has paid out more than $22 million to its users. PrizeRebel has a system that’s similar to that of other sites in this selection, meaning that once you accumulate 100 points, you’ll make $1.

You’re even allowed to join the program even if you’re not from the United States, Canada, Australia, or the United Kingdom. You should check it out — there are over 10 million members to date.

  1. Swagbucks

Swagbucks is, without a doubt, one of the most popular websites in this category, and for good reason. You get $5 after you sign up, and you can make money using the site, which you will withdraw to your Paypal account or claim as gift cards for various online retailers, including Amazon.

One important note that we must make about this site is that your account has to be approved and you need to qualify for certain surveys. Completing them and then finding out that you weren’t qualified in the first place can be a little unfortunate.

They even have a browser of their own, and if you switch to it instead of using good old Google, you’ll be paid for performing searches. Swagbucks is completely free to join.

  1. Inbox Dollars

This is another survey site that has been running for more than a decade, and it’s a nice way of making a bit of extra money. It’s pretty reliable, and it also gives you $5 for signing up. You can be paid for searching the web, shopping online, taking surveys, or just playing games.

In some cases, you can be paid $10 for a 10 to 20-minute survey, which is almost unheard of. The main drawback is that there are only two ways of being paid with Inbox Dollars – traditional cheque or deposit to your bank account.

  1. Pinecone Research

This one is a bit more exclusive compared to the other sites that we have mentioned in our selection, meaning that you aren’t going to be able to join the program if you’re not invited.

It is, however, one of the best paid survey sites, since it pays around $3 per survey and approximately $6 for testing products. Moreover, the wage can increase if you keep up the good work.

Another difference between Pinecone and other survey websites is that they send you email surveys, and more importantly, they give you those that are specifically designed to match you. This means that you don’t have to waste any time looking for the surveys yourself. You’ll waste a lot less time and make more money than with other options.

Pinecone Research pays through Paypal or Amazon vouchers and the minimum threshold for payments is just $3.

  1. Toluna

Toluna has been running for more than a decade and it’s also quite easy to use. Like the other sites that we’ve mentioned here, it pays through Paypal, but it also offers vouchers for Amazon and iTunes.

Best of all, you will only get suitable surveys once you set up your profile. You need to answer a number of questions to do that.

  1. SurveySavvy

This website has been around ever since 1999, so it is a well-established company. You will receive suitable surveys via email, but you will be asked a number of demographic questions before you complete them so as to check your income, age, or ethnicity.

If you don’t match their requirements, you are not going to be able to receive any rewards. In fact, you aren’t going to be allowed to finish the survey, so at least you aren’t going to waste any time.

One of the significant drawbacks to using this program is that you can’t be paid through Paypal. The only way you can get the money is via a traditional cheque, which can be a serious con since it can take as many as a couple of months to get it delivered to your doorstep.

Final note

Be sure to watch out for any fake survey sites or scams. It’s better to choose one that’s been around for many years and that has received several hundreds of reviews.

Keep your expectations realistic and understand that you’re probably not going to make more than a couple of hundred dollars in a month just by doing surveys online. But you can use that extra cash for anything you like, after all!
