Best VPN Affiliate Programs

If you are in the digital niche, there’s a fair share of products and services that you can promote to increase your income through monetization and affiliate marketing. In today’s article, we’re looking at some of the top VPN affiliate programs.

Not only can a VPN help you access content that might not be available in a specific country, but it can also help users protect their potentially sensitive information, such as financial or trading data.

For all of the programs that we are going to describe in this post, we’re going to specify both the cookie length and the commissions that you can expect. Do keep in mind that for the rest of the info, you will have to do a bit of research yourself before signing up for any of these.

Best VPN affiliate programs

Express VPN affiliate program

You need to apply directly to the ExpressVPN program if you want to become an affiliate. You’ll get your answer in a couple of days when you sign up, but the whole process doesn’t seem to be too lengthy or complicated.

While you can make anything between $13 and $36 per sale, the cookie does last for 90 whole days. The VPN affiliate earnings might not seem extremely high, especially since there are other services out there that offer better ones, but the 90-day cookie definitely sweetens up the deal.

Fastest VPN

Although this one is perhaps less known compared to some of the other names that we are going to mention in this article, FastestVPN is still worth promoting to your website audience.

The main reasons we’re saying this — the commissions (60% of every qualifying sale) and the 90-day cookie duration.

To make things even better, you can join this program through ShareASale, one of the largest and best affiliate networks currently available today.

Avast

This one is a pretty unique VPN service in that there’s no monthly subscription available at all. People have to pay $80 to get protection for as many as five devices, and that’s what they get for a whole year.

This, on the other hand, means slightly higher commissions for you, as an affiliate, just because users are going to pay a higher amount of money all at once. By the way, as an affiliate, you can earn up to 35% of the value of each subscription, and the cookie lasts for two months.

We couldn’t find any information as to whether or not this program can be joined through a platform like CJ Affiliate or anything else, so chances are that you will have to use the Avast website to sign up.

AVG

AVG is a well-known virus protection service and it’s been around for quite a bit, too. They’ve actually been in this business ever since 1992, so they are one of the oldest companies in this field.

Their VPN service works pretty well and is available in more than fifty countries at the time we are writing this article. The affiliate program, though, is not too great since the 25% commission is much lower compared to what we have seen with some of their competitors.

The cookie does last for sixty days, though, so at least there’s that. You will have to join the program on their website since we couldn’t find any info as to whether you can do the same through an affiliate network.

HMA VPN affiliate program

HMA is an acronym for a quite funny name, meaning Hide My Ass. The brand’s VPN services have been around for quite a while now, and the best thing about them is that they are supported across 190 different countries.

Is HMA the best VPN affiliate program? For some, it might be since the commission can go up to 100% of each qualifying sale. The cookie does last for just 30 days, which in comparison to other companies that we have mentioned here, is less great.

Hide.me

This VPN affiliate program should definitely be up your alley simply because the services of this company have been recommended by Internet greats such as Forbes, PC World, or TechRadar.

It works on a wide variety of devices, from macOS to Linux and Windows computers to tablets and smartphones of any kind. It’s supported in more than 27 countries.

As for your VPN affiliate earnings, you can earn as much as 25% of each qualifying purchase and benefit from a cookie duration lasting 45 days.

Nord VPN affiliate program

You might have heard about this company before even if you don’t tend to use a VPN, and the reason for that is that the brand has really made a point out of marketing its services across several different platforms.

Plenty of famous YouTubers and other influencers have recommended this VPN in the past.

While becoming a Nord VPN affiliate might be less up your alley because they have lower commissions (40%) and a shorter cookie length (30 days), they’re still worth considering — and they even use CJ Affiliate, so you’ll be able to see and manage everything in the same place.

Norton VPN affiliate program

If you’ve been on the Internet for at least several years, you have probably heard about Norton before. It’s a massive company that started out with computer security products against a variety of online threats from viruses to malware, but nowadays, they’ve delved into the virtual private network business, too.

You can join the Norton VPN affiliate program through CJ Affiliate, which we have found to be a significant advantage for folks who tend to use lots of affiliate programs at the same time.

In terms of how much you can make, the commission is a fixed 20% on all purchases, and the cookie lasts for two months.

OVPN

This one is also somewhat less known compared to other VPN services, but we thought we might as well note the affiliate program here since it’s definitely worth considering.

The downside to the VPN itself is that it supports just more than 30 countries, which is not a lot — particularly comparing it to what other brands can offer.

In terms of payouts, you can expect commissions ranging from 30% to 50% depending on the value of the purchase completed. The cookie does last for just 17 days, which is definitely not worth writing home about.

Panda Security

This VPN affiliate program comes from a brand that is quite popular in Europe and it’s been around for over twenty years now.

There really isn’t too much to say about the program per se other than the fact that you can earn a 35% commission out of each qualifying sale, and the cookie lasts for just one month. That might make it slightly less worth writing home about compared to other choices we’ve discussed here.

PureVPN

This is another brand that’s been growing quite a bit in the past few years, and that’s because their VPN services have been recommended by companies such as Yahoo Tech, the Huffington Post, or The Next Web.

The VPN itself is quite reliable and supports over 130 countries — and is probably going to expand more in the future.

While you do have to use the company’s own site to sign in to the affiliate program, which might be less convenient, the perks themselves are pretty great. First of all, PureVPN offers some of the highest commissions we have come across, and they range from 40% to 100%.

The cookie also lasts for three whole months, which makes the task of earning with PureVPN really easy.

SurfShark VPN affiliate program

This is also one of the most critically acclaimed and also effective VPN services out there today. The service is so popular because there’s 24/7 support and they even have a money-back guarantee in place, so there’s no reason for customers to worry about losing their hard-earned cash.

What about the SurfShark affiliate program makes it stand out from the crowd? The cookie is not going to be one of those things since it lasts for just 30 days.

However, the commission is 40% of each sale, and this is not the cheapest VPN in the world. It’s also available in 63 different countries, and it’s probably going to expand more in the future. We’d say that this program is worth jotting down on your list, but that there are better ones out there.

SurfEasy

This budget-friendly VPN is quite popular with users these days, but the thing that we do have to note with regard to the affiliate program is that you can join it through ShareASale. This makes things a whole lot easier for you if you’d like to use several different programs and manage them through the same network.

Becoming a SurfEasy affiliate is straightforward and doesn’t call for a lot of effort or time. Once you’re accepted into the program, you can make up to 50% of each qualifying sale. The cookie length is 3 whole months, which clearly isn’t bad.

The downside is that SurfEasy is now supported in just 30 countries, so the audience is quite limited compared to other services in the same field.

TunnelBear

This is another type of VPN service that you might not have heard of before, but the TunnelBear services seem to work great, and they also don’t cost a fortune, which is great.

In terms of the affiliate program, you get paid a 50% commission for each qualifying sale, and the cookie lasts for 45 days, which isn’t too bad. Also, you can use CJ Affiliate for applying to and using all the perks of the program, including marketing materials.

VirtualShield

We aren’t going to go into a lot of detail regarding this company of the affiliate program but we will note that they have dedicated account managers for affiliates, which largely simplifies things on the whole.

The cookie lasts for 60 days, and the commissions are a bit different in that you get paid actual money instead of a percentage. The rates vary from $13 to $96 depending on your performance.

IVACY

This one should strictly be right up your alley because there’s some money to be made thanks to the brand’s affiliate program. The commission is 60% of every qualifying sale, and the best thing is that the cookie lasts for three whole months.

The VPN is now available in more than 50 countries. It is slightly less well-known compared to other services, so you might have a bit of a harder time recommending it to your blog audience.

CyberGhost

While you do have to use the company website to join the affiliate program, so you will not be able to rely on the same network, CyberGhost is definitely worth looking into.

And the reason we’re saying that is that you can earn up to 100% of the value of purchases in commissions. Plus, the cookie lasts for 45 days, and the service is available across 80 countries.

RapidVPN

With this affiliate program, you can earn up to 75% of each referring sale. The cookie lasts for a month. The downside is that RapidVPN services are only available across less than 20 countries, which can make things a little complicated for yourself and those interested in using the products.

ZenMate

Believe it or not, ZenMate is a company really willing to make a name thanks to their affiliates, and that’s why the brand is willing to pay as much as 100% of every sale to everyone recommending their products.

The cookie does last for just 30 days, though, which could have been better, but we’d say that this one is still worth considering merely because of the amount of money they’re willing to pay.

You do have to use the ZenMate website for everything, which can be a disadvantage, but apparently the dashboard is very easy to work with.

Final thoughts

Finding the right VPN affiliate program effectively boils down to your needs and expectations. However, since it is never a good idea to put all of your eggs in one basket, we’d say you should use several different ones.

The best piece of advice we have for you is to pick the ones with the highest commissions and longest cookie lengths and also opt for those that can be managed with affiliate platforms like CJ Affiliate and ShareASale.
