We’ll start with the drawback since it’s the most significant one and there aren’t really that many disadvantages to at least giving this affiliate program a try. The courses you will recommend aren’t that expensive, so even if the rate is, at 20%, pretty generous, you run the risk of earning just 1-2 dollars per generated purchase. 

On top of that, there are affiliates who feel that they’d probably earn more money if the cookie were longer than 7 days. 

As for the pros, there are many of them. Converting users is very easy, especially since Udemy is so well-known, and we might even go as far as to say that it’s better known than Lynda or Skillshare. 

Furthermore, you can promote any course you want, even your own. If you have some on the platform, you can effectively earn money twice – both on the sale per se and with your affiliate link. 

Last but not least, don’t forget that you can always promote Udemy courses regardless of the niche you’re in. For example, even if you’ve picked Amazon Associates as your primary revenue source and you generally promote physical products about pets, for example, you can still create a post about pet care courses on Udemy
