What is OptimizePress?
OptimizePress is made for sales. The company now sells several different products, such as funnels and landing pages, but there is much more to the services that it can offer.
There are more than 120,000 marketers that use the brand and many swear by the way it can help them generate leads. In general, the landing page feature is the best selling point of OptimizePress and the best thing about the builder is that it is very easy to use by anyone, regardless of their technical skills.
Of course, there are many ways of customizing the pages depending on whatever the marketers want to achieve with them. Just to give you some pointers, we’ll note that you can make your landing pages as you want and also collect taxes, accept payments through either credit or debit cards, and charge in a wide variety of currencies.
Like ClickFunnels, which we have reviewed in another article, OptimizePress can also be utilized to create all sorts of marketing funnels. Testing is available, of course, and you can put together pretty much any type of funnel that might have crossed your mind, from coupon to video sales ones.
As is the case of the landing pages, you can pick the type of funnel you want to build, select from several different designs, and customize everything regarding the branding. You can even make automated funnels for future use.
One thing we like about OptimizePress is that it also makes it very easy for people in the education niche to sell courses, downloads, eBooks, or whichever other digital product they might want to offer to their followers.
What products can you promote?
As we have previously mentioned, there are quite a bit of marketing products that you can promote to your audience to be able to make some commissions. The nice thing is that the plans are priced depending on the features the users most desire and need.
So, while there are many features and products, whether that be landing pages, templates, integrations, funnels, checkouts, or testing, you simply have to promote the plans themselves — as everything else comes with them.
The Essential plan costs $99 per year, the Suite one is priced at $199 per year, while the Agency Standard one will set users back $399 per year. However, these are all discounted prices. The normal ones are $149/year for the Essential plan, $299/year for the Suite plan, and $499/year for the Agency Standard one.
You can earn commissions on all of these sales.
How can you become an OptimizePress affiliate?
First of all, before creating your application and submitting it, you should take the time to go through the terms available on the official OptimizePress website. And the reason for that is that depending on your niche or the way you might want to market these services, you might actually not be able to become an affiliate,
Some of these limits range from the inability to use PPC for any search terms that include the company’s name. We’ve seen the same requirement from other affiliate programs out there, so it’s nothing out of the ordinary.
You are also forbidden to create ads and use PPC to directly get people to the OptimizePress website. Therefore, you’ll only be able to create ads for your pages and then convert people by having them click on your affiliate links through your content.
Spam is obviously a no-go if you want to continue to use OptimizePress for affiliate marketing. And finally, you are not allowed to get any product through your own affiliate links. Actually, if you make this mistake, you will either have your commissions revoked or you might even be booted out of the program.
Once you have read all the terms and conditions, you can apply to the program on the brand’s own website.
We’re definitely not crazy about the fact that OptimizePress doesn’t work through an affiliate network right now (at least at the time we are writing this post) because it would have been a lot more convenient to have everything in the same place — especially if you write about other digital products and services.
Once you apply, you will get your answer about your affiliate OptimizePress membership in a matter of up to 5 working days. So expect to wait for a week or so before the reply hits your inbox.
OptimizePress affiliate support
This is actually something that makes OptimizePress a bit different compared to others we have checked out in the past.
While you have more than enough guides and forum support from other affiliate marketers, you do not get a dedicated affiliate manager when you become an affiliate.
This can be a drawback for lots of people, particularly those that make a lot of commissions, which means that they basically manage to convert a lot of individuals and bring in many, many new customers to OptimizePress every month.
It goes without saying that you can contact the company in case you run into an issue, but if there’s a technicality or a glitch you want solved as easily as possible, there will be no affiliate manager there to assist you.
Still, if you go to the forum side of your dashboard, you’ll at least be able to strike up a conversion with other affiliates that might have encountered the same problem in the past.

OptimizePress affiliate commission and payout
This is probably the reason you ended up on this page in the first place, so we’ll tell you just how much you can earn with the OptimizePress affiliate program.
The commission rate you can expect for new OptimizePress users is a fixed 30% on all orders. Given that the value of the most basic plan is approximately $100, that means a minimum of $30 for you (keeping in mind that this was the discounted price, though, so your rate will be even higher).
But the detail that makes the program really stand out from the crowd is that not only will you be able to make 30% out of new users’ orders, but you’ll also get 20% out of each recurring customers’ orders.
So, for example, if someone gets the basic plan and pays for it for a whole year, you’ll get 20% of the 11 months’ plan value every single month. The rate obviously changes if they upgrade or downgrade to a different plan.
In other words, you’ll get your earnings for the entire duration of a person’s membership. That should also answer your questions about the tracking cookie. Once you get someone to convert, you basically get a lifetime cookie.
Tracking your performance and earnings is made super easy by a platform that the brand uses for their affiliate marketing program. It’s called FirstPromoter and it lets you do anything from tracking your referrals to generating affiliate links depending on the specific services you want to promote.
What about how you’re going to get paid? Well, since everyone wants to know this, we’ll say it outright — OptimizePress is among the few programs that we came across that pays its affiliates through PayPal.
This can be quite beneficial particularly for affiliates who are based in countries other than Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia or New Zealand, or generally those that you’d find in most programs.
PayPal will of course take their hefty commissions, though, so you do have to consider that. Sometimes, direct deposit can be a little better in terms of transaction fees, but it can also be worse.
As for the frequency of payments, you will get your earnings once a month. There is a payment threshold that we have to note here and that’s $100, which is slightly higher than what you’d find in other programs. So, if you do not want to wait until you get to this limit, you might have to consider promoting other services.

How does the OptimizePress affiliate program compare to others?
Elfsight
First of all, the services offered by these two companies are quite different. We couldn’t find whether Elfsight would also allow their users to create landing pages or funnels through their widgets, but there are a lot of other features that you can promote.
When putting the programs side by side, you’ll notice some differences right off the bat. The payment threshold is $100 with OptimizePress but it’s just $10 with Elfsight. The commissions are similar, but there’s the benefit of having an affiliate manager if you promote Elfsight widgets.
Instapage
As an Instapage partner, you can make 50% of every sale you refer to the website, which means that the commission rate is higher than it is with OptimizePress. For larger contracts, such as those by enterprises, you can earn a commission of up to $5,000 – which is incredible, but it takes a lot of work to get someone to convert that well.
The commission is recurring, which means that you will earn 30% out of all the orders for the entire lifetime of that person’s subscription. Instapage is free to join and comes with a 14-day trial, so it gives users the opportunity to test out the features before committing to a paid plan.
Unbounce
We recently did a review of this one and we’d argue that it is a pretty good alternative to OptimizePress and other affiliate programs. You can make 20% out of every qualifying order and you also get 20% recurring rates for the duration of your referrals’ subscriptions.
Unbounce pays its affiliates through PayPal and Stripe, which means that you can also withdraw your money to your bank account with this one.
GetResponse
We did a review of this program, too, and we suggest you give it a read here: Getresponse Affiliate Program Review. With this one, you have the option of picking between two commissions. You can either choose to make 33% out of all orders (clearly higher than OptimizePress’ 30%) or get $100 per sale.
When you join the program, you also receive a bonus of $135, which definitely sweetens up the deal. GetResponse manages its own affiliate program through the website, but you can also join it through CJ Affiliate. A $50 withdrawal threshold is available for both — so it’s lower than that of OptimizePress.
LeadPages
This one can get you a commission of up to 50% of the value of the services purchased by your referrals. Better yet, you also get to benefit from an incredible 50% referring commission for the duration of your referrals’ subscription.
There is a tiered system that we are not going to detail here, but that’s the maximum you can earn with LeadPages.
Elementor
The payout threshold when being an Elementor affiliate is $200, so it’s considerably higher than that of OptimizePress. There are quite a lot of bonuses to be had with this one, though.
Payments are processed through PartnerStack, so if you are not a user of that service, it might be a nuisance. The Elementor program has a 30-day cookie, which automatically makes it slightly less worth writing home about compared to OptimizePress.
Wishpond
The Wishpond affiliate program is more or less similar to that run by OptimizePress. The 30% recurring commission definitely makes this option considering. The brand even uses the same system for managing its affiliates, meaning FirstPromoter.

Final thoughts
So, should you become an OptimizePress affiliate? That’s a question only you can answer depending on your blog or website and your niche and what you have found that your audience chooses out of the offers you’ve promoted in the past.
All in all, we’d say that this is a fairly decent program and you should definitely look into it if you are looking to diversify your passive income.
