We would have liked to see other payment methods besides PayPal, especially since this brand’s reputation hasn’t exactly been stellar in the past few months. Besides, they do have some pretty hefty fees, which can frustrate affiliate marketers quite a bit.

Pros and cons to being a Moosend affiliate
Each time we look at an affiliate program, regardless of its industry, we try to be as objective as possible and give you both the benefits and potential disadvantages you can expect from it.
When it comes to the Moosend affiliate program, it seems that the pros outweigh the cons to some extent. Of course, there are caveats such as the payment method being PayPal or the fact that the program is self-managed instead of it being available on a separate affiliate platform.
If the information that we did come across is indeed true and what you will be earning even when you start being an affiliate for the brand is 30% recurring out of all the plans purchased by your audience, this is by far the most significant advantage you can expect.
If it’s a flat 30% rate, it’s still good enough for you to consider it, although you also have to look at the likelihood of your audience wanting to invest in a plan worth over $300 per month.
Another pro would be the fact that the cookie lasts for 60 days instead of the 30 days you can expect from the majority of the other affiliate programs in the same niche.
Real-time stats are available as part of the interface you get access to after your application is approved. In the end, if your performance is really good, you can expect your commission to be increased to 40% out of whatever your referrals pay for Moosend services, which is an incentive for most affiliates.
We did not read the fine print of the affiliate agreement, but we would like to add here that the majority of companies that use this type of marketing aren’t crazy about people using PPC for promoting their products, especially if they mention their names in their ads.

How to promote Moosend

From what we have gathered, this program is self-managed, so you will have to utilize the company website to join. Omnisend relies on a Net30 model instead of the Net60 one that most other companies utilize, which means that before you can get your money, you will have to wait for just 30 days.

Sendinblue
This one is pretty neat because even though a free version of the service basically exists forever, you can still be paid 5 euros each time one of your referrals creates an account — even a free one.
When they get an annual or monthly plan, you can expect to be paid a commission rate of $100, which is quite decent from what we have seen with other options. The rate is not recurring, so don’t expect to get it each time your referrals renew their plans.
Another advantage of this affiliate program, especially when comparing it to what Moosend has to offer, is the fact that the cookie duration is 90 days.
ConvertKit
We’ve written about this affiliate program before and we still think it’s a pretty good alternative. It offers the same 30% commission rate you can expect from Moosend, but the main difference between the two is that ConvertKit’s one is a recurring one over a period of 24 months.
The cookie lasts for 60 days, which yet again is something you’ll find with the Moosend option. PayPal is the only payment method now used by ConvertKit, too.

Mailerlite
While the cookie duration of this one is just 30 days, the good thing is that Mailerlite offers a 30% recurring rate on all purchases that were made through your affiliate link.
The Mailerlite program is also self-managed, so you should not expect to see it on any other separate affiliate networks. And yet again, the only payment method available with this one is PayPal, which can be a significant drawback for some individuals.
