GetResponse Affiliate Program

Have you ever heard of the GetResponse affiliate program? If you’re into affiliate marketing and you’re looking for new networks or programs, in today’s article we’re going to tackle all of the aspects you should know should you ever consider becoming a GetResponse affiliate

GetResponse Affiliate Program

Types of programs

First and foremost, you should know that there are two kinds of affiliate programs that GetResponse makes available. You can either choose to get $100 per each sale or a percentage of 33% in recurring commissions.

Regardless of the one you might end up choosing, the cookie lasts for 120 days, which is a lot more time when compared to other affiliate programs. You can get a bonus of up to $135 when joining the program.

In general, creating an account is pretty easy. Once you set everything up, you’ll have to decide on a specific program. You do have to be the owner of a well-established site that’s at least relevant to the marketing field, and if your articles relate to email marketing, that’s even better.

If you do not want to join the program separately, you can do so through the Commission Junction program.

Payouts

The reason GetResponse affiliate marketing has become rather popular recently is that the payout threshold can be considered low. You have to have at least $50 in your account before requesting payment, but there is one issue.

GetResponse holds your commissions for up to three months just to be on the safe side of things and while they are performing checks so that there is no fraud-related problem. If you join CJ Affiliate, you’ll still be paid when you reach a threshold of $50.

Payments are conveniently processed through Paypal, which means that anyone can join the program, regardless of the area in the world they are located and do their business in.

Affiliate tools

GetResponse has a series of affiliate marketing materials, and the best thing about them is that they are available in several different languages. Here are some examples:

  • Infographics
  • Videos
  • Banners
  • Text ads
  • Email signature text
  • Email message templates
  • Company logo

If you do run into any issues while trying to use any of these, you’ll be happy to know that there is an affiliate manager available, who can help you set them up as best as possible.

Pros and cons

This program has a broad array of benefits, such as the uncomplicated signup process. The recurring commission is another pro since it will basically make you money while that user remains a paying customer. Best of all, if the person decides to get an even more generous plan, your commissions will be better.

The cooking length is another benefit to consider, especially since 120-day periods are almost unheard of, nowadays. If the user tries the 30-day free trial first, this time period is included in the cookie.

The fact that GetResponse has become pretty well-known in the field of email marketing in the past couple of years is an advantage in itself. People aren’t going to feel that wary about getting the trial period and even paying for big plans if they have to.

As is the case with any type of affiliate marketing program, there are drawbacks, too, and you should be aware of them before becoming a GetResponse affiliate. Some users argue that the number and type of tools available are not nearly enough, especially since other GetResponse competitors do a better job of providing heaps of features.

Is the GetResponse affiliate program worth it?

It’s probably likely that you aren’t going to be able to make $1,000 per month with this program, especially if your blog or website doesn’t get a huge amount of traffic. We say that it’s still worth considering if you don’t want to put all of your eggs in one basket, and with affiliate marketing, we all know that it’s better to diversify your income sources.
