Best Gardening Affiliate Programs

Gardening has become more and more popular over the past decade or so, since people have started to realize how cheaper and healthier it is for them to grow their own food.

So, if you own a gardening blog or website and you’re looking for new ways of monetizing it, this post on some of the most lucrative gardening affiliate programs should be right up your alley.

For all of those showcased below, we will include the commission rate, as well as the tracking cookie length that you can expect.

Best Gardening Affiliate Programs

Click & Grow

We decided to start with this one because it allows even people who do not have access to a garden per se to grow several plants in their homes. Click & Grow largely relies on the desire that some individuals have to grow at least some herbs that they can add to their food.

This gardening affiliate program is managed by FlexOffers, a network that we have reviewed in the past. You can expect a commission rate of 10.4% out of every qualifying order with a tracking cookie lasting for 50 days.

Seeds Now

As its name suggests, this company sells seeds and a variety of accessories designed for people with green thumbs.

But since most of the products that you will find on this website are quite affordable, the affiliate program could have been a miss — yet the brand decided to grant a 25% commission to their affiliates complete with a 90-day cookie just to make it sweeter.

We couldn’t find any info as to whether this one is managed by a separate affiliate platform, though, so you will have to do a bit of investigating on your own.

Harrod Horticultural

If you’ve been searching for gardening affiliate programs in the UK, this one might be a good choice for you. From what we have gathered about this brand, it is among the largest and most popular ones in the industry in this country.

As an affiliate, you can expect a commission of 5% on all qualifying sales with a cookie length of 60 days. We do have to note that you need to join the Webgains network in order to access the program.

Ferry-Morse home gardening affiliate program

This company is pretty well-known for offering stellar customer service and for having a quite unique array of products. For example, the website offers anything from professional greenhouses to starting mixes and everything else you might need to get started.

The program works through Refersion, a network that we have reviewed recently and you can make 6% on all qualifying referred sales with a cookie duration of 45 days. We also recently found out that it’s become available on CJ Affiliate, too, a widely revered affiliate network.

Nature Hills Nursery

If you’re looking for a program that has a somewhat better commission rate, then the one designed by Nature Hills Nursery might be a good fit for what you have in mind. You can make 10% out of all of your referred orders and benefit from a cookie lasting for a month.

The neat thing about this one is that it works through ShareASale, one of the largest and probably best-known affiliate networks in the world right now. So, if you already use the platform for perhaps other niche sites, this program should be a logical choice.

Lula’s Garden

Here’s another gardening company affiliate program that works through the same platform that we have just mentioned, meaning ShareASale. When it comes to Lula’s Garden, we have both good and bad news. On the upside, the commission is a fixed 16% on all referred orders, which is great when comparing it to other programs.

On the downside, though, the cookie lasts for just 14 days, so it’s significantly shorter compared to what others have to offer. It will boil down to what you think makes more sense for you — a higher commission with a shorter tracking cookie or something else with a lower rate, but a longer cookie.

Gardyn

If you’ve been looking for some pretty high-earning affiliate programs for gardening, look no further. Gardyn offers a $100 commission on all sales made through your affiliate link, but that should probably be expected since the systems sold by the brand have prices starting at $900.

Unfortunately, the company isn’t really straightforward when it comes to the cookie duration of the affiliate program. We’d also like to note that this one is self-managed, so you will have to apply on the brand’s own website.

Garden Tower Project

This company makes it possible even for people living in crowded apartment buildings to grow some of their food using compost and a minimum amount of soil. The towers sold by the brand start at $360, so it’s a good thing that the rate that affiliates can receive for orders placed through their links is 16%.

The cookie lasts for two whole months, which isn’t bad, either, and the fact that the Garden Tower Project affiliate program is run by ShareASale is another advantage that you should consider.

Vegepod

Here’s another program that works through Refersion, a rather different affiliate platform. Unlike some of the other brands that we might have mentioned in this article, Vegepod sells something unique, in that the main product here is a raised garden bed.

In case you didn’t know, raised garden beds have experienced a huge increase in popularity and demand, especially since they make it possible even for folks with back problems to grow their own food.

As for the program itself, you can expect a 10% commission rate with a 30-day cookie duration.

ACE

As you probably know, sticking to a niche such as gardening doesn’t only involve you recommending plants, seeds, and planters to your audience. Gardening is much more than that and can include parts of landscaping.

ACE is a store that can be found in many places across the United States. The brand sells hardware, so there are a lot of products that you can find on their website, from paint to tools and a variety of design accessories.

The program seems to be self-managed, though, so you might not encounter it on any affiliate network. The commission rate is 5% on all orders and the cookie lasts for just two weeks — however, the value of some of the products is significantly higher compared to that of items sold by other companies.

Aero Garden

These indoor gardening systems don’t come for cheap, which can be a benefit for you since the program offers a 7.5-10% commission on all orders placed through your affiliate links. Also, the cookie lasts for a month, which is pretty much the industry standard.

The only problem is that the pods and some of the other tools included in these systems have to be replaced on a regular basis and they also aren’t affordable. So we suggest that you are quite clear on that when you recommend these products to your audience.

On the other hand, Aero Garden products can be promoted through CJ Affiliate, but you can also find them on Amazon (and use Amazon Associates, although we would advise against doing so since your rate is going to be lower).

Botanical Interests

This company sells a wide variety of products, but their biggest selling points are seed packets. As such, since the value of these items isn’t really that high, it’s a good thing that the program can offer affiliates a 15% commission with a 45-day cookie. Otherwise, it would probably have been completely unattractive.

Gardening Direct

If you have been tossing and turning about finding a UK-based affiliate program for gardening products, this one might be the right option for you. The company sells anything from garden essentials such as accessories and crates to indoor and outdoor plants.

The website also has a fairly large variety of gift packages for people with green thumbs. As an affiliate, you can make 10% out of every qualifying order and benefit from a 30-day cookie length. This one is managed by Awin at the time we’re writing this.

Crocus

This UK-based brand has a wide range of products available on their website, and they range from shrubs and bulbs to indoor and outdoor plants, flower seed packets, and anything else that might have crossed your mind.

Crocus hosts its own affiliate program, though, so you will have to go through the effort of joining it on the brand’s website. The rates that you can expect tend to vary on the products that your audience decides to invest in.

For example, you can make 10% on all plant-related items, including the seeds and the plants themselves, but you’ll earn 7% on everything else. The cookie lasts for a month, so no surprises there.

Earth Easy

Looking for some pretty good organic gardening affiliate programs? If that’s the case, you are going to like this brand. Earth Easy makes it possible for people to live a more sustainable lifestyle by providing them with the right products in areas such as pest control, energy efficiency, and of course, gardening.

Although we initially thought that the program is self-managed, it’s actually now managed by AvantLink, a network that we have recently reviewed. Even so, it might still be worth joining since you can expect a 10% commission rate with a 90-day cookie length.

Thompson & Morgan

Gardening seems to be quite popular in the United Kingdom given the number of affiliate programs in this niche that can be found in this country. That’s the case for Thompson & Morgan, a business that sells anything from garden plants and trees to potted hardy plants and shrubs.

The Thompson & Morgan program is managed by Affiliate Window, so that’s one less thing to worry about. However, we do have to note that some products will not earn you anything, such as those that can be found in the Tool Shed, Wild Bird Food, or Buildings & Fencing categories.

Anything else will make you a 8% rate with a 30-day cookie window.

Ozfarmer.com

If you’re looking for a gardening affiliate program that addresses the needs of people currently living in Australia, this one might be a good fit. However, the site does sell a wide range of other items, not just those made for gardening. There are lots of books and emergency products, along with supplies for farming.

You will have to submit an application on the company’s own website since we couldn’t find out whether this one works through a separate network. As an affiliate, you can make 5% out of every order placed through your affiliate links.

Unfortunately, the cookie duration isn’t disclosed on the site, so that’s something that you will have to investigate further.

Design Toscano

If you’ve been searching for fresh affiliate marketing ideas for gardening, this website can give you several hints. First off, the company doesn’t sell the standard products that you might expect in this niche. In fact, they sell statues, fountains, and a variety of other decorative items for people’s gardens.

If you feel that your blog audience would resonate with that, then you should definitely promote the brand’s items. The program is managed by CJ Affiliate and you can make anything between 8% and 12% out of every order (depending on what your readership orders).

Hoss Tools

As its name suggests, this company doesn’t only sell seeds and such — you can also find many other products here, mostly like seeders, irrigation supplies, pest control products, and pretty much anything else for a perfect gardening experience.

The Hoss Tools affiliate program is now being managed by ShareASale, so you can track your earnings and check out your statistics with ease so that you can easily increase your performance.

The commission rate is 10% on every sale, which is pretty good since most orders on the website are worth at least $100. The cookie lasts for two months.

Final thoughts

The gardening niche is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful ones that you can work with, because plants are harmless and pretty and they also produce oxygen, which we require to live.

But when it comes to gardening and affiliate marketing, we would advise you to use your creativity when it comes to what you might want to promote to your readers. Don’t stick to plants only because they aren’t expensive and as such, they are not going to generate outstanding earnings.

Think of everything else that a gardener needs — protective equipment, benches, shears, lawn mowers, and many more products that cost more and that can make you a bit more money. That doesn’t mean that you should only promote expensive products, but do consider that idea when planning your content.
