Cyber Security Affiliate Programs

If you run a blog or website about digital marketing, SEO, web development, or any other similar topic, you might be looking for various ways of monetizing your content. Well, if that’s so, you’ve come to the right place.

In today’s article, we’re going to be looking at some of the top cyber security affiliate programs out there. Some of these offer extensive solutions, whereas others are classic VPNs, which you might have come across in our article about VPN affiliate programs.

We will include some of the most important information in our reviews, such as the commission rates and the tracking cookies for all of these programs.

Best Cyber Security Affiliate Programs

Before we move on to the next section, we’d like to suggest that you use your creativity when researching such programs. Not all of them deal with the same thing.

Cyber security can be split up into several different categories depending on the exact protection it offers against which specific threats. For example, information security relies on user authentication or cryptography, whereas network security relates to virtual private networks and antivirus services.

Cybersecurity can provide protection against such threats, but it can also offer protection against others, such as phishing attacks or malware.

That is why you will find that many of the following affiliate programs are quite different from one another.

Brick House Security

This cyber security affiliate program is actually quite interesting because it was initially created with the aim of providing people with actual physical products that could help them protect their homes and other assets. They started developing things such as PC security systems, cameras, and other such equipment.

These days, the brand sells the same types of products, but they’ve added some software in the mix, too.

What we like about the program is that it is now managed through CJ Affiliate, which means that if you’re a previous user of the platform, you’ll be able to apply really easily and conveniently.

You can make up to $45 for every person that you refer to the company’s services, and that makes a purchase. The standard commission rate is 4% out of every qualifying order.

Panda

This is one of the most generous services in the cyber security space that we have come across. It comes with a wide array of features and is now being used by more than 30 million individuals across the world.

The affiliate program enables you to make as much as 50% out of people’s subscriptions. The payment threshold is 50 euros, though, so if you are not convincing a lot of people to get a Panda plan, you might have to wait for a bit to receive your earnings.

ESET

This internet security company is based in Slovakia, and it offers a wide range of services, mostly in the domain of firewall and antivirus software. There are lots of others you should check out on the website, though, as the brand sells security for any type of device or parental control, too.

As an affiliate, you get to benefit from a 45–day tracking cookie and a recurring 20% commission on all qualifying orders. The program is managed by CJ Affiliate, which we’d say is a pro to consider.

Avast

If you’ve been on the Internet for more than a decade, you’ve probably heard this brand’s name at least once before. Avast is one of the largest companies in the cybersecurity space, and they also have pretty nifty antivirus software, too.

As an affiliate of this program, you can make up to a quarter of the value of all of the orders you have referred to the company. The tracking cookie lasts for two months, which isn’t bad. What’s interesting about this program is that it also gives bonuses to affiliates whose performance is truly excellent.

In any case, since the company is so well-known, you’re probably going to have less of a hard time recommending its services to your audience.

Perimeter81

This company offers a wide variety of services, but some of its strongest points are the Business VPN and the Zero Trust Network as a service. We’d say that it is perhaps one of the best choices for very large firms because it allows specific individuals based on their identity, locations, and the devices they utilize, to access potentially sensitive information.

What’s interesting about this affiliate program is that it functions based on a CPA model. That means that depending on what purchases your referrals make or even if they request a quote, you can make anything between $400 to $1,000 per month.

The cookie lasts for just 45 days, which is significantly less than what we’ve seen in similar programs. Also, it’s worth noting that this one is not managed by any other network, so you will have to sign up on the company’s website.

Heimdal

Heimdal has been offering excellent cyber security services for many years now, and they’ve become so popular with users that they even won the Academic Security Web Log Award back in 2016.

The nicest thing about the Heimdal affiliate program is that it is managed by ShareASale. This makes things a lot easier for you, whether you have been using the network or not — the platform enables you to look at your stats in a single place even though you are an affiliate of several different programs.

We’d also like to note that this one is among the highest-earning alternatives we’ve showcased here. You can make up to 75% out of the first sale belonging to your referrals. The cookie lasts for three whole months.

Astra Web Security

This one is quite interesting, and it mostly stands out from the crowd because it can offer solutions to users whose websites have already been hacked. If that hasn’t happened, the brand still has something to offer in the way of securing information and everything else.

As an Astra Web Security affiliate, you will get to benefit from a tracking cookie of 60 days, which is decent enough. You can earn up to 25% of all the services that your referrals purchase, but the nice thing is that you get to offer your audience a 5% discount to convince them to try out Astra Web Security services.

Trend Micro

If you don’t have a lot of experience with cyber security in general, the exact niche of this company might be a little difficult to understand. Some of the services offered by the brand range from risk management to cloud-based technologies, but there are others, such as Internet of Things.

The program is pretty good in our opinion, although mostly because the value of the subscriptions and services of this company aren’t cheap. They aren’t as affordable as some of the VPN subscriptions listed here, for example.

You can make up to 20% out of every order; you can also get paid once you reach the $50 threshold, which is quite decent when compared to the limit of other programs. We couldn’t find any info regarding the cookie duration, though.

Comodo

This company is now offering a wide range of products in the same niche, although they also ensure forensic analysis and antivirus services (the latter of which is free for customers).

The nice thing about the Comodo affiliate program is that you can make up to 50% of the value of every sale, and also get a recurring rate on any renewals that your referrals opt for.

IT Governance

There’s not too much to add with regard to this program besides the fact that it has some of the best commission rates we’ve come across. Affiliates can make up to 100% of the value of the services they referrals choose from the IT Governance website.

In any case, it’s practically impossible for someone to earn less than 20 pounds when they manage to convert someone and get them to try out an IT Governance product.

SiteLock

This one speaks to the needs of pretty much any website owner out there, especially since the brand offers excellent protection against threats aimed at WordPress and Joomla websites. That means that they cover most of the Internet right now.

As an affiliate, you can make anything between $25 and $125 depending on the type of plans your referrals opt for. The nice thing about this program is that you also get to communicate with an affiliate manager, which is something that’s lacking in other solutions listed in this post.

NordLayer

The NordLayer affiliate program is among the most decent ones we have come across. And the reason we’re saying this is the commission rate, which can vary between 30% and 40% on all plans — but the best thing about it is that it’s a recurring rate, so this is what you will be paid every month or year, depending on the subscription the users have picked.

The program is self-managed, though, which can be a bit of a drawback for people looking to handle everything in the same place. Even so, given the recurring rates, we’d still say that it’s worth applying to.

ExpressVPN

We might have mentioned this one in our post about the best VPN affiliate programs out there, but in case you didn’t know, ExpressVPN pays its affiliates on the 15th of every month.

In terms of commission rates, you make different earnings depending on the plans that your referrals opt for. For example, one month of VPN will make you just $13 in commissions, but a whole year will make you $36.

Although the program isn’t run through a separate network, ExpressVPN makes it possible for you to communicate with an affiliate manager in case you run into a problem. Moreover, you get access to a variety of marketing materials ranging from banners to infographics and more.

AVG

This one is run through CJ Affiliate, so that’s one less thing to worry about. As an AVG affiliate, you can make up to 35% of the value of the orders your referrals make. We’d say that the 60-day cookie is pretty decent, although it could have been slightly better.

But because this one works through CJ Affiliate, we’d say that it’s worth considering because you get a manager, along with plenty of promotional materials.

McAfee

This is one of the best-known companies in the field of providing security that can range from antivirus software to anti-spyware or anti-malware.

The affiliate program only works through the company’s website, and you have to submit a detailed application and get an answer in several days. The reason we’re saying this is that even the brand’s site isn’t exactly clear on what you can earn as an affiliate.

However, we did find out that the program can offer you a 45-day tracking cookie and 25% per each qualifying sale. Since an affiliate team does exist with this one, you do not have to worry about anything.

NordVPN

What truly makes this one different compared to many other programs that we have described here is that it can be managed through a wide range of affiliate networks. From what we found about it, the program works through CJ Affiliate, Impact, as well as FlexOffers, therefore giving you the option to pick the one that best suits your needs.

NordVPN pays its affiliates through PayPal and direct deposit. You get a 30-day cookie and various commissions depending on the plans and products your referrals opt for. In general, you can make up to 100% of the value of NordVPN products.

NortonLifeLock

Everyone’s heard of Norton products before, so you are not going to have a hard time recommending these products to your audience.

The affiliate program is pretty good, too, since you can make up to 20% out of the value of every sale and the tracking cookie lasts for two whole months. There’s also a dedicated affiliate manager that you can talk to in case you experience any technical issues.

Sucuri

This is another world-known company in the space of cybersecurity, so once again, you might not find it as difficult to recommend it to your blog readers as you would with brands they have never heard of before.

As a Sucuri affiliate, you can make 25% of the value of all of the orders you refer to on the company’s website. The tracking cookie lasts for just 30 days, so it could have been considerably better, but given that there are several different plans that people can opt for, at least your earnings can vary between $25 and $200 per sale — which really isn’t bad.

We did not find any info on whether you can join this one through an affiliate network, so you may have to use the brand’s website to join.
