The best niches for affiliate marketing are those that people are always going to be interested in. Whether that means that you have to promote physical or virtual products or services or not, it’s your choice.
Some niches are ever-green, such as products in the home and family category. People are most likely never going to run out of needing to use washing machines, repair them, or purchase products or accessories for their hobbies.
There are some niches that aren’t ever-green, and that we wouldn’t necessarily recommend as they involve a lot of work updating your pages and posts.
The tech niche is a good example of this. Whether you plan on promoting TVs or any other gadgets, you’re going to have a lot on your plate in terms of changing the products on your pages.
Without further ado, here are some of the top affiliate marketing niches you should consider when building a niche site.
Here are some basic categories, but we’ll give you some explanations as to why we have picked them below.
We went with Home Improvement & Family in the first place as there are usually expensive products in this category.
For example, if you recommend people generators or water pumps and the affiliate program you are enrolled in gives you a percentage of the sale, you’ll make more money selling more expensive products like these.

By comparison, if you were to recommend a pet product that would cost less than $5, you’d get a commission of several cents. The rest of the products that we have mentioned also tend to cost a pretty penny, but in the end it all depends on whether you use a CTA affiliate marketing program or a standard one, which gives you the rate we noted.
Some affiliate networks can give you a fixed amount of money each time you generate a sale, but they aren’t going to do much more.
Hobbies can also be quite expensive, especially if you promote products like bikes, whether they are stationary or not. Most of these items tend to cost in the hundreds, but there are some better ones that can cost over a thousand dollars. By using the same logic, recommending a more expensive product will make you more money.
The reason we included Beauty & Lifestyle is that while most of the products you will find in this niche tend to be less expensive, the affiliate programs you’ll use for them tend to offer you better commissions.
On top of that, someone looking to purchase a luxury or beauty product will most likely make several more purchases and generate you several more affiliate rates.
At the time we’re writing this, a niche that we wouldn’t necessarily recommend would be Travel (the COVID-19 epidemic is still in full bloom) as not many people are interested in traveling for long distances. However, if you intend on promoting products in the camping niche, those could work as people want to go outdoors, but not really come in contact with others.
If you’re planning on doing it the other way around, meaning building your site first and not picking your affiliate marketing niches, you might have to do a little work to find the perfect affiliate programs afterwards.
