High Paying Affiliate Programs

If you’ve recently started blogging and you’re thinking of using affiliate marketing as a way of monetizing your website, you should probably look for several high paying affiliate programs.

Using Amazon Associates these days just won’t cut it, especially since they’ve slashed their commissions in 2020. We’ve gathered a number of high ticket affiliate programs and have showcased all of them below so that you know what to pick depending on your specific niche.

What are the best high paying affiliate programs?

First of all, what we have noticed and what you should consider, especially if you haven’t created a website yet, is that most of the highest paying affiliate programs, whether recurring or not, are in the digital field.

They could be web hosting companies or those selling SEO services such as SEMrush, but the point is that recommending online products instead of physical ones definitely seems to be the right way of going about things.

Without further ado, here are some of our top choices.

GetResponse

This all-in-one digital marketing platform offers a huge range of services from webinar hosting to push notifications, automation tools, as well as their classic email marketing service.

GetResponse has gotten quite popular through the years, so we think you aren’t going to have a hard time recommending their services to your audience. The thing we liked the best about this program is that the cookie duration is a whopping 120 days, which can’t be said for some of its competitors.

You can directly promote GetResponse products through their proprietary affiliate program or through an affiliate marketing network such as CJ Affiliate. The reason we’ve included it on the list is that the commission rate is 33% of every sale.

SEMrush

If you’ve been in the search engine optimization industry for quite a while, you’ve probably heard and even used SEMrush before. It’s one of the most powerful tools in this field, and it has heaps of useful features from PPC and SEO to video advertising and even functionalities that can help you improve your content.

The biggest reason to consider this program over others is that the commission rate is $200 and the cookie duration is also 120 days. You can join the program by applying directly on the SEMrush website or through a network such as ShareASale.

TubeBuddy

If you regularly talk about YouTube marketing and optimization in your posts or in your content, TubeBuddy might be right up your alley. The commission rate can go up to 50%, and the cookie duration lasts forever.

Some of the features that you will be able to recommend are video SEO, keyword research, competition analysis, marketing, and a variety of other functionalities that are useful, especially to YouTubers.

HubSpot

Although HubSpot services are anything but cheap, we have to admit and say that they are quite extensive. If you decide to promote their products, you will be able to get commissions of up to 100% of the sale value.

The cookie lasts for 90 days, which is not bad considering that of other services listed here. To give you several examples of what you can recommend through HubSpot, they have everything from email marketing and sales to CMS and detailed analytics for businesses.

BlueHost

If your niche allows you to promote hosting services, BlueHost is definitely the right way to go about things. Their commissions are quite high, and the best thing about the company is that it sells quite affordable products.

For example, one of their cheapest plans starts at just under $3 a month, which pretty much anyone can afford, even bloggers. Bluehost sells several different types of services such as dedicated hosting, shared hosting, and VPS hosting, and you can recommend these to your audience depending on your preferences and what they are most likely to purchase.

They might have a commission structure that could be a little complicated to grasp since it’s tiered, but the point is that you can earn from $65 to $130 for each recommended sale. The payments are processed through Paypal, but it can take as many as 45 to 60 days for the commissions to be approved — which could be a drawback.

Hostinger

This is another web hosting platform that you might want to look into if you want to recommend hosting services. The base payout is approximately $60, but there are plenty of chances for you to generate commissions as high as $100 or more.

They also have a variety of tools such as banners available for affiliates which tend to make things a lot easier.

complete guide blog - installing plugins - elementor

Elementor

This website building platform has gotten very popular in the past several years, and for good reason, too — it is extremely easy to use. The drag and drop builder can be utilized by almost anyone, regardless of their technical skills.

The resulting websites are eye-catching and responsive despite the minimum amount of work put into customizing it. The affiliate program that Elementor has in place offers commissions of up to 50% of each sale value.

HostGator

We’ve written an extensive review of the HostGator affiliate program before so we recommend that you first check that one out. While the cookie lasts for just 60 days, which is a bit low compared to some of the other online services we’ve showcased here, their affiliate program is still worth considering.

We do have to mention that the commissions are performance-based and they are focused on the numbers of users you refer to. For example, if you get up to five individuals to buy a HostGator product, each sign up will make you $65. If you generate even more indirect sales, the commissions can get as high as $100.

Liquid Web

Similarly to the other hosting services that we have already described, Liquid web offers web hosting but also data center solutions. It’s got everything from VPS to cloud services, as well as dedicated and managed hosting.

By the way, this is the company behind iThemes. The biggest reason to consider joining this high-paying affiliate program is that the commissions can go up to 150% (yes, that’s true!). Besides, the cookie duration is ninety days, which once again makes Liquid Web stand out from the crowd.

SiteGround

We have a separate review of the SiteGround affiliate program so for any additional information, we suggest checking out that article. Like HostGator, SiteGround offers performance-based commissions.

For example, if you get one to five people to sign up, they’ll make you 40 euros per sale (which is about $55), so their commissions are slightly lower than the HostGator ones. However, they can get to be as high as $125 depending on the number of individuals you get to buy their products.

In any case, we’ve seen a lot of bloggers and marketers be successful with this affiliate program. Another drawback is that their cookie lasts for only 30 days.

WP Engine

You can join this program through ShareASale, which is convenient given that many of the ones that we’ve described in this post can be joined through the same affiliate network.

One of the biggest pros to recommending WP engine WordPress hosting services is that the cookie lasts 180 days (almost half a year!), but there’s something else you should know — the commissions can go up to $200, which is quite impressive, too.

Fiverr

For more information on the Fiverr affiliate program, we suggest reading our review of it. Understanding just how Fiverr’s commissions work might be a bit tedious, but the point is that you can earn as much as $150 per every referral — it just depends on the types of gigs that people end up buying through your affiliate links.

For example, with the learning platform by Fiverr, your commissions are going to be around thirty dollars, but for Fiverr Pro services, you can earn as much as $150.

Finally, we would also like to add that the cookie duration of this program is definitely worth writing home about since it lasts for a whole year.

Canva

Canva is one of the most popular graphic design tools in the world right now, and for good reason, too. It is extremely easy to use, and it can even help people make money.

For example, did you know that there are folks making hundreds of bucks every month with Canva by completing gigs on Fiverr (some of which are as simple as removing a picture’s background)?

The commissions are also worth taking into account since, on some sales, you can earn as many as $150. On the other hand, the cookie lasts for just one month, which might not be as impressive. You can join the Canva affiliate program through CJ Affiliate.

PlaceIt

Like Canva, this one is a design tool that’s quite easy to use. It might not be as well-known as some other tools in the industry, but its affiliate program is still worth mulling over.

The commission rate is a standard 50% on all of their products, and the cookie lasts for as many as sixty days. One detail that we have to add with regard to PlaceIt is that you can only join their program through Impact, an affiliate network.

FreshBooks

If you’re in the finance niche, whether personal finance or not, FreshBooks seems like a natural choice – it is management software and small business account tool that can help people manage their expenses and receipts, as well as track their time, send invoices, and many other things.

The best thing about this program is that the commissions go up to $200. But wait, there’s more — the cookie duration is an incredible 120 days period, so you aren’t going to have to worry about anything for several months.

You can join the FreshBooks affiliate program through ShareASale.

Upwork

If your website or blog is about making a bit of side income and you regularly write about how virtual assistants or content writers can get work, Upwork is definitely the platform to recommend.

It’s one of the largest and best-known marketplaces in the field and the commission rates can go up to 70%. The cookie duration, on the other hand, is not something worth writing home about since it lasts for just 30 days. You can recommend Upwork gigs through the Impact affiliate network.

Thrive Themes

Who hasn’t ever heard about Thrive Themes? If you’ve been in the online field for quite some time and you’ve built at least several websites, surely you’ve heard about their plugins and marketing products.

While the commissions are lower since they go up to 35% of the value of each sale, the cookie duration is a whopping 2 whole years. So unless your users click on someone else’s link, you probably have nothing to worry about.

You can recommend Thrive Themes products by joining the iDevAffiliate network.

Sendinblue

We’ve already mentioned this platform in one of our recent posts dealing with the best mass email service, and you probably get the idea — you can recommend email marketing software, but also some other products such as a CRM and a landing page builder.

Since Sendinblue has a free trial, you can receive up to 5 euros per each free user and up to 100 euros per each paying customer. The payments are processed through bank transfers or Paypal, so that’s one less thing to worry about.

The cookie lasts for ninety days, which might not be as impressive as other affiliate programs.

wix best blogging platform

Wix

Although SEOs don’t love Wix, the truth is that it is one of the most appreciated website builders today. Their drag and drop features make it extremely easy to set up a site these days and in the past several years, they’ve managed to acquire as many as 100 million customers.

Each premium sale that you refer to Wix can generate as many as $100. The cookie duration is just 30 days, though.

Superb Themes

Although they aren’t as popular as other services offering themes that we have included here, Superb Themes do have a pretty great affiliate program. You can earn up to 60% of each sale.

While the cookie duration is just one month, you get recurring commissions for a whole year. For example, if a user gets a theme and then buys another and they haven’t clicked on someone else’s affiliate link, you’ll still be the one getting the commission. They also have affiliate management in place, so you’ll have someone to talk to in case you run into any problem.

Shopify

Shopify is one of the largest marketing platforms on the world wide web. If you recommend some of their services, which range from stores, product management, and a variety of apps, you can earn commissions as high as 200% of the sale value.

The cookie lasts for only 30 days, though, which can be a drawback. Another thing we’d like to mention here is that from what we’ve found about it, you cannot promote the services through any networks — you have to join their in-house program.

Weebly

If you have no trouble promoting website builders, Weebly is another option you should take into account. We aren’t going to go into too much detail, but the commission rate is 30% and the cookie lasts for as many as 120 days.

Also, if you’ve got a ShareASale account, you can merely use it to promote Weebly products, without having to join any other program separately.

BigCommerce

Like Shopify, BigCommerce is a platform that allows people to create online customized stores with a variety of additional tools from analytics to those designed specifically for marketing and boosting sales.

If you’re in the eCommerce niche, we think that giving the BigCommerce affiliate program a try might be worth it. The cookie does last for just 30 days, but the commissions can go up to $1,500 in value. Also, you can promote their services through Impact, an affiliate network we’ve already mentioned.

Coursera

This is perhaps the biggest educational platform on the Internet right now. Sure, it has its competitors, from Udemy to Lynda, and some of them have their own affiliate programs, too. But since it is so well-known, you aren’t going to have to put in as much effort into recommending their courses.

The commission rate can go up to forty-five percent and the cookie lasts for 30 days. On the other hand, the only way of recommending the courses is through Rakuten Advertising, an affiliate network.
