Best WordPress Plugins for Affiliate Marketing

If you are looking to monetize a blog or a website using affiliate marketing, you’re probably wondering what the best affiliate marketing WordPress plugins are.

But the truth is that there isn’t such a thing as the ‘best plugins for affiliate marketing in WordPress’, and the reason for that is that you have a lot of different platforms that you can work with, and not all of them work with the same plugins.

Some of them have to be approved by the affiliate marketing network, which makes things even more complicated. For instance, there are lots of Amazon Affiliate plugins that haven’t been approved by Amazon and with which you can’t use their API.

There is a rather high likelihood that you will have to install several of the WordPress plugins for affiliate marketing that we’re going to showcase below.

Top affiliate marketing plugins for WordPress

  1. AAWP

WordPress plugins for affiliate marketing are a must if you intend to use Amazon as a way of monetizing your site. Although it’s less popular these days since they’ve slashed the commissions, Amazon Affiliates is still one of the most wide-spread programs out there.

And that shouldn’t come as a surprise given that Amazon is one of the largest retailers in the world today. So people trust it.

But Amazon rarely allows the use of plugins to pull the products from their site, so it’s a good thing that AAWP is one of the few ones allowed. With it, you can create anything from product boxes to tables (since you basically showcase a grid with 3 products, for instance).

You also have the ability to showcase popular products from a category. Craig has used this plugin while working on a golf site and it was very easy to utilize and it converted well since the boxes have a nice and eye-catching design, too. For one site, the license costs 39 euros, for three it costs 99, and there are two other plans, Pro (199 euros) and Ultimate (299 euros).

  1. Amazon Images (AMZ Image)

We haven’t seen a lot of affiliate marketers talking about this plugin and we don’t understand why it’s not more popular. It also uses Amazon’s API to pull images of the products, and while searching for them, you can use either a product category and select the product you like best or you can specifically look for a product’s ASIN or name and pick that from the list.

It’s extremely convenient for people who don’t want too much hassle. For example, you can create a product review, showcase the image right under the title, and then use a simple button plugin at the bottom. All you have to do to get the necessary affiliate link is to copy and paste the one from the image, since AMZ image creates one automatically.

For people who have used complicated Amazon Associates plugins before, this can be a real time saver. Plus, it’s cheap, too, although you do have to pay for a license every year.

The Starter version costs just $29 and the Pro version costs $100 (but they do have sales regularly and sell the Pro for 50 bucks).

  1. Ads Pro

With this full-service ad manager, you can do anything from displaying random and single ads to layer ones, background ones, or even scroll bar ads. One of the coolest things about it is that it bypasses the majority of ad blockers that exist nowadays, which is the most important feature of all.

Other features range from more than twenty-five templates, a backend manager, and geo-targeting to ad scheduling and control. It’s not free to use, so it does cost $57.

  1. ThirstyAffiliates

This is probably one of the best affiliate marketing WordPress plugins currently available, and that’s because it can be utilized with pretty much any network. You can use it to shorten your links so that you trick people into thinking they’re not clicking on an affiliate one.

The best thing about this particular tool is that you do not have to go through each and every post and edit it individually. You can simply insert a link in your Thirsty Affiliate backend settings and everything is solved on its own.

The plugin is also compatible with a variety of services from Google tag manager to Amazon, which you can use to search and import links from. Plus, there is a free version for this one, so you can test it out before spending at least forty-nine bucks on add-ons.

  1. OptinMonster

This conversion optimization and lead generation plugin can assist you with doing a lot of things and it’s quite likely that we have showcased it in another article, too. OptinMonster can be used to add your affiliate links to a variety of tools, whether they are sidebar forms, lightbox pop-ups, or floating bars.

You can also rely on the plugin for increasing your email list and running tests. The basic plan begins at under $20 a month, you can pay $30 for the Plus, and there’s also a Pro one available for $47. The Growth plan costs $80 and has everything you might ever desire.
